My career with JELD-WEN started in the summer of 2001, when I was recruited out of the University of Central Florida's College of Engineering. I accepted the position mainly because of the world class Management Development Program and the ethical corporate culture. I believe the step by step nature of the Management Development Program promotes a smooth transition from student to professional. This is a transition many graduates can find difficult.

The culture within JELD-WEN is of the highest ethical standards. Hard work and dedication are recognized and rewarded. Management Development Program

Extensive 18-month program, including a self-study portion
Teaches manufacturing and distribution from the ground up

Our Management Development Program will put your feet on the ground and have you running in no time. You'll receive hands-on, minds-on training that will give you the experience needed to work on the production floor and lead other employees. One thing's for sure, you won't be sitting behind a desk all day. You can expect the following:

As a part of the Management Development Program, you'll also have the chance to travel to the JELD-WEN headquarters in Oregon to participate in the Beginnings Program. This management orientation is conducted by JELD-WEN's officers and will provide you with insights into key strategies, philosophies and policies. You will learn valuable knowledge and skills that will get your management career off to a successful start.
